We participated in the 4th of July Fireworks Race this morning. Monies benefit the cost of the parade bands (there are many and they come from all over, even outside the state) and fireworks (always a phenomenal display) coming up this holiday weekend. Attendance was good at 215 participants. Dad's time was just under 30 minutes to finish the 5K. Thanks D and AM for outfitting him in his patriotic attire!The best news is that the farmer's market is open and we have LOCAL corn to eat for dinner. :-) Peaches are ready as well so we need to get my grandmother's canner out and wash the jars.
