We took a quick trip to NYC this week with Lisbeth, Keelyn and Ella to see American Girl Place, the Statue of Liberty and Mary Poppins. We rode taxis and a boat out to Liberty Island......neither for the faint of heart. We ate one of our meals at Ellen's Stardust Diner where promising singers and dancers wait tables (and entertain) while waiting for their Big Break on Broadway. Times Square is now pedestrian- friendly, allowing people to sit around in lawn chairs where once traffic flowed....pretty crazy! It's like a giant outdoor neon-lighted block party.
