Yosemite Day 1

Bridal Veil Falls
We arrived at Yosemite by going through low wet clouds. It started clearing late in the afternoon but left enough clouds to create some wonderful scenes. The landscape is just breathtaking.Just one small problem today.......car keys were locked in the car at one of the overlooks.  A good Samaritan family from Hawaii drove us to the GARAGE in Yosemite Village where we met Kevin who drove Jim back to the car and unlocked the car!Thank you, White family.

About Us

My photo
Lorie and Jim
We are happily living in Bethany Beach, DE, a resort town which grows many times its size in the summer months when people come to vacation by the ocean. In the winter, the locals enjoy restaurant specials, little traffic and quiet. Jim continues to take pictures of sunrises and sunsets, local flora and shore birds. The greeting cards he creates from these photos are very popular. Our seven active grands play many sports. Pop is the best sports photographer around! He works at the local UPS store. Lorie enjoys working on church committees, esp. the mission committee which designates monies earned by fund raisers to worthy projects around the world. She volunteers in Read Aloud DE, a program that promotes a love of reading in young children in local schools. Recently she has taken an interest in her own photos, joined the Coastal Camera Club and has been competive in entering these photos in club competitions. Together we write a monthly church newsletter. This blog not only helps to chronicle our lives but it also reminds us of how lucky we are to be living our dream.
